Great gravy for your roast!
- After cooking the roast joint there are meat juices remaining.
- Take a spoon and carefully remove the layer of fat.
- Add one tablespoon of plain flour and stir until it thickens into a paste.
- Then add 1/2 pint of stock.
- Now with a whisk, add 1/2 pint of wine, bring to the boil, this will evaporate the alcohol, but retain the flavour of the wine.
- Strain the gravy into a saucepan, to remove any lumps.
- There you have your perfect gravy!
